I’ve had enough

So yesturday I came across this video that teaches you how to make a “high-def” speaker for under $1. I’m thinking, hey if it works, it’d be awesome. So I sat down and guess what, I couldn’t get it to work for me.
So my dad and I sat down trying to get this thing to work. We probably watched 7 or 8 videos in the process, however we had no luck.
As I watched the videos however I noticed something, when I even touch the tin foil I can hear, well, tin foil sounds, how is that this sound isn’t heard when being used as a speaker? So I don’t know if this is a scam or not though, some of the video’s seemed convincing, except for the fact that they twist the wires together. Wouldn’t that just send the electricity back to the source? I mean it’s electricity, it’s going to follow the path of least resistance.
maybe I should just do some research on how high def speakers work, or maybe I should find something more relevant to do with my time, either way, I went to bed frustrated and confused.

So onto speakers that really work. I’ve decided that whatever system I get - it has to be THX certified. In looking at their site, they’re incredibly picky about what systems they deem worthy to be THX certified. I’m glad you tried this, but I’m sure there’s a reason that decent speakers cost at least $200 or more.

You’re right. it was fun but what they show there was a joke. dumbies.
well I too would like to get some nice book shelf speakers.
so we’ll look into that.
