girls were icky when I was younger. why didn’t I keep that perspective?

So I’ve recently had a lot of bad experiences with girls, which has led me to ponder on the days of kindergarden when I found girls both disgusting and dumb. am I reverting back to this way of thinking?
as to my previous way of thinking, I thought life would end at age 18. not so much that I’d die, just that I wouldn’t be around anymore. so I guess yes, I thought I’d be dead by 18. I’m out living that expectation.
Also I wanted to be an inventor when I was a kid. I’m probably not too far off from that dream.
It’s funny how much we change when we grow up. However looking back I kind of wish I still had some of the same perspectives as I used to have. such as; all animals can talk if you just pay real close attention, Orange juice is orange because it’s from oranges, so that means milk is white because it comes from bananas, all midgets are from the land of oz, the nija turtle lerk in ever sewer, they won’t talk to you but they get loanly so you need to inform them that you think they’re doing a great job, the toilet is a passage to hell and that is why mom doesn’t want me playing in it, if I ever went to new york, I’d be greated by both monsters and people alike, waldo is hiding somewhere, everywhere, by hot gluing wires to my bike, if I travel fast enough, I can time travel, spinich makes my muscles grow, if I lift up my shirt and expose my stomach magical beams of happiness will pertrude out of said belly and become a care bear stare, superman flys in his underwear, why can’t I go to the store in mine, the icecream man is the nicest and most trustworthy man in the world, boxes work great to get from the top of the stares to the bottom, and just to wrap up my list, if I can close myself in the fridge I’ll gain super powers, becaue mom and dad didn’t think of this when they were kids they don’t think it’s fair that I should get super powers either.
so as you can see I’ve come a long way from last week.

I wanted to be Robert E. Lee when I grew up. It hasn’t been working out that well… Yet…
Mad props on living past 18! It is usually good when that happens.

matt, it’s okay. you’re doing a great job!
ha ha ha. so many times i got that when i was a kid. so many….
anyway, but you know what? i used to have a disney trainset, it was a small trainset with little fisher price sized disney characters of mickey mouse and his gang of post-depression cartoon ruffians. and i thought i had to marry mini mouse. but then daisy looked promissing. i was torn between mice and duck, a position i never want to be in. i had crushes on them both. but alas, the age of five only lasted a year, and so did the trainset, before i broke it and lost all the peices. my how things change.
